Intro
Unlike their dry cousins, water underfloor heating kits are a little more complex. More bits ‘n’ bobs are needed for a water-fed installation, but this only serves to make kits more valuable as they save you the time and effort searching for all of the individual parts needed to complete the job.
Buying a wet radiant heating kit takes all of the guesswork out of the purchasing stage, but you need to be certain that you’re getting good value for money. Here we take a look at two great kits on the market today:
ProWarm Water Underfloor Heating Kits Review
Pros
- High quality parts throughout
- WRAS approved pipes
- Lifetime pipework guarantee
- Standard and high-output (conservatory) kits available
Cons
- A little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for
The parts that make up these kits come from some of the biggest names in the industry. The pumps are made by Grundfos and are of superb quality, while the manifolds and piping are produced by the ever reliable HENCO.
In fact, the piping is of such a high specification it has actually been approved by WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) as suitable for drinking water.
You may think that this is unnecessary, but the makeup of these pipes stops any oxygen diffusion occurring, thus preventing any corrosion of the metal parts of the kit – clever stuff.
Heatmiser control systems are supplied with every water-fed kit too, giving further peace of mind when shelling out this amount of cash.
ProWarm have earned themselves a fine reputation for providing high quality products over the years, and they back this up with their fantastic lifetime guarantee on all pipework in this range.
The only negative thing you can say about these kits is that they are a little on the pricey side. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that this is a one off purchase and, in this case especially, you definitely get what you pay for.

Dismy have been around for a number of years and are held in high regard by many fitters up and down the country. This kit, put together by BHF, offers great value for those on a tighter budget.
The piping in this kit is WRAS approved Pex-Al-Pex which, like the ProWarm piping, offers a metal oxygen diffusion barrier that will help to keep other parts of the system free from corrosion. It also comes with handy metre markings so you know exactly where you are in the loop at all times.
The Wilo (pronounced vee-lo) pump is decent enough and the rest of kit is sound too. Overall, if you’re working on a tight budget, these kits offer good value for money.
